Post: Lucid Dreaming

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So, this is going to sound fucking weird.

I can lucid dream, and its not like, I'm able to do it wanting to.. It just happens. I can dream about anything i want. I can be like. "ok, we ar going to dream about bo2" i will dream about it. I imagine I'm in a theatre and there is a countdown, once it reaches 1, the dream begins.

When i have dreams i don't like, i think. hang on, fuck this shit i don't like it. And i will wake up, or i will try to change it. If the dream is me dying, i would just reset the location or something like that.

If you don't know what LD is, its pretty much any dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming.

Tell me your thoughts.

(Again, quote me, i forget to check)

I have tried several methods before, but with no success. On a rare occasion I realize I am dreaming and am able to take control, but sadly it's not often.

I was big into lucid dreaming years ago, along with OBEs. I got out of it because I started to experience sleep paralysis on a nightly basis. It eventually got to the point that if I laid down, I'd immediately go into sleep paralysis, or into an episode of it coming on. I just remember one morning I woke up, laid there and got into SP, got out of it, and immediately got back in to SP. I'd consider venturing back in to lucid dreaming, but it'd have to be awhile from now. Just thinking about sleep paralysis terrifies me.

I thought Sleep Paralysis was the key to lucid dreaming, where your body and muscles go to sleep but your brain stays awake?

Sleep Paralysis is a consequent. If I've researched correctly, a person must force themselves to believe they are asleep, and imagine pulling on a 'spiritual rope' to leave your body. Another method, I've heard, is to imagine seeing yourself from across the room. It could trigger you to rapidly leave the body due to the shock. I believe sleep paralysis can happen if the person tries to move as they're approaching OBE. The body would think the person's asleep and not respond to nerve signals. The brain, reacting the same, would produce the dream-like entities in real life. But, that's all subjective and theoretical, as I've never gone through OBE, but I have read fantastic stories from other people, such as a priest who went to heaven, and by the time he came back to his body, his body was buried under ground in a casket. People heard a bell ringing, and by the time the casket was lifted, he was dead for good, and there were scratch marks. Another fantastical story is a person going to other planets and being able to breathe; one person stating, as much, that he had seen life on Mars.

You can get sleep paralysis to turn into lucid dreaming, but I was never able to achieve it. For me it was either sleep paralysis or lucid dreaming. Unfortunately it was seldom the latter.

I don't try to lucid dream. However, I usually have one or two a week. I don't mean like full control over the dream. More of I can control what I do. I know that I am dreaming, I can do superhuman things (fly, use magic, the fun things) but I can't control where the dream is going. I have only ever had one completely lucid dream. Which I admit was fun. However as fun as controlling the dream was, I love the randomness of my dreams. There have been many mornings where I wake up and simply contemplate what I just dreamed about.
