(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Snapchat, PayPal, Facebook, Ebay, Uber, Virgin, Etsy, Spotify, Starbucks, McDonalds, Instagram, to name just a few!

I've owned a fair share of businesses and in my opinion coming up with the name is literally one of the hardest and most important decisions you can make as an Entrepreneur.

Not only that, but then finding a domain name that isn't taken and doesn't cost $12,000 is a separate task altogether! The last thing you want to do is resort to .net or .org extensions because everyone is so familiar with .com

So I've a question for you creative minds here on NGU, give me some suggestions for a money service like PayPal or Stripe. Rattle off a few ideas Smile

A lot of businesses indeed do that. Make up a word and boom, worldwide brand! Sony, Hitachi, Nintendo to name a few :p

I looked into Ceebo, got a great deal!

This is what you're up against! All the short nice names are either taken or thousands =Z

Still, ceebo would actually be a great name to have! And it could be applied to anything. "Ceebo Electronics, Ceebo Trade, Ceebo Manufacturing" Ceebo Wireless, etc. Or your products take the first part of name, like CeeWatch, CeeTV, CeePack, etc.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. Short, simple and easy to remember. Maybe I should take the name and the domain =3

One thing to watch out for is spelling. Believe it or not, many people will mispronounce it and this will lead to confusion when people are searching for it on the web.
Notice how "Apple" - short and sweet, everybody knows how to pronounce/say/spell it = no confusion & easy growth.

Now can you imagine if Apple named their company "Aaple", "Appl", "Appal"?
Would it be the same brand it is today?

Well their stock is called AAPL, so lol But yes I see your point. I doubt a lot of people could spell Google in the beginning, since they'd be so used to using "Googol" as seen in googolplex, or perhaps Gogol. Maybe a good amount of people thought SONY was spelled Sonee, y'know?

Ceebo sounds pretty cool. I kinda want to contribute a name but it's going to take me awhile to think of something because I'm not the most creative person would it comes to these things. Sal

Just out of curiosity, how would you pronounce "ceebo"
Would it be like "kee-bo" or "sea-bo" ?
