Much like the post sexual revolution , i never really bought into the drug culture. i thought it was easy to see why drugs are bad.
ie since truth is that which conforms to reality, and drugs takes you away from objectively reality, like an "experience machine " of sorts, then they necessarily take you away from truth, of course you could argue movies, tv shows etc take us away from objective reality, and i would say you're right, but they work as an exit and return, and when they seem to get too addicted, too much video games, too much movies, it can be quite problematic. it might need a bit of refining, but i don't think the argument proves too much
i hate to sound cliche, but i thought what most of our parents thought us about drugs was right (don't do drugs, billy!) the only way to avoid this obviously true statement, in my opinion is to employ a rhetoric sleight of hand, the kind of thing lug nut, correct me i I'm wrong, seriously do, was doing.
