Even so, it would give a fresh start, and allow citizens to actually vote for the president, instead of the candidate's own party (electoral college) deciding the vote. Hell, why not make it a republic, where all people get an equal say in what goes on in the government in both internal and international affairs, starting with the privacy breaches by NSA, instead of having these wealthy congressmen do jack shit all day just to stay in office?

This. The original design of our government was to be a republic. Unfortunately somewhere along our timeline individuals started to refer to our government as a democracy. If people want to know why minority groups are always being walked on and screwed over is because of this pseudo-democracy that was created. I say this a lot in person, but democracy leads to dictatorships. No one can deny such a statement because the majority always wins no matter the political agenda.
