Yeah this should probably be closed as it'll either incite panic and/or a flame war neither one are necessary so hopefully this gets closed soon.

Lets say you were in accident you get to hospital, no one that knows you is there. They are able to then simply get information from chip such as blood type, allergies to certain medication, previous surgeries anything relevant that they need. I know everyone instantly thinks that chips are going to be used to monitor us or know exactly what we're doing but if used correctly they could save lives.
You forget, the government would control the chips. Look at how 'well' the NSA has done with our security -- invading our privacy and hunting down terrorists on World of Warcraft.
