I don't use it very often. Just pop in every now & then for a few minutes

usually never for me. SB not my thing but I tend to watch the convos but never join in unless I really want/need to.

From my experience, the shoutbox isn't a welcoming place unless you're a regular, have high rep or a member of staff. Everybody else is ignored.

EDIT: Then again, I'm rarely ever here. Maybe things have changed.

Hasn't changed too much, I remember when I first started messaging in there a long time ago, I had to stick at it to get someone to speak back but the effort paid off. Its a nice little feature and I love talking to other members here on a less of a private and personal level. Although it can get weird at times, you find out a lot :p

In terms of when I am in there, I generally always have a page open with it on. Except this week due to hardware issues.

I'm banned again from the shoutbox, apparently having a difference in opinion to those in power is frowned upon.

I usually use it as a means of immediate communication. Say, if someone is in the shoutbox and I want to talk to them I'd rather message them there than have to drop a private message or a visitor message.

Never. Never been in the shoutbox in my entire time on NGU. Don't even know what a shoutbox is.
