Alot of ps2 games were just p2p so as long as their is a master server to connect to and direct traffic the games can go on just fine. In most cases games that ran on gamespy will really never have an issue. Well if they used DNAS that could be an issue once all the gateways eventually go down but thats a whole different thing.

i spent most of my childhood on that lol, playing games like Jak and Daxter and MX vs ATV and Grand Trismo etc
