So today was the last day for the PS2 to be alive.

PS2 is how I got into God of War and Prince of Persia, not to mention TMNT.

Such an iconic console. The graphics blew me away when i first saw them and it had a VERY good run with some of the BEST games EVER made either making their debut on the console of taking the series to a whole new level.
PS2 you will be missed but NOT forgotten.

Don't forget about FInal Fantasy series, Jak and Daxter series, The Legend of Dragoon, mostly all the Need For Speeds

Article is a little misleading, there are still some games with online functionality on the ps2.
Some are work arounds due to services like gamespy being gone and others just work normally.
