He was not mistaken 7/11 for 9/11. He was saying how 7/11 was the first fire department to respond to 9/11.

That is untrue, it's been debunked already.
This was just a flub, like pretty much all humans have multiple times in their life unless they're mute.
Don't see what the big deal about this is, he just misspoke and people are acting like he doesn't know the true date of the attacks.
I'm pretty sure everyone knows about the attacks that are literally titled "9/11".
