(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What are your thoughts on the upcoming release of Ghostbusters? How do you feel about the all-female team, lead by Melissa McCarthy? I'm not usually behind rebooting such a massive classic movie, but I'm proton pack ready and prepared to give this the chance to surprise me. Would you have preferred an all-male squad?

If you haven't already seen it, You must login or register to view this content. is the official trailer with a whopping 700,000+ dislikes.

I could care less about their gender, seems like everyone wants a reason to be upset about something and this was easy target. As for the movie itself I wasn't too into the first one so I may see second but I'm not making plans to.

I'm looking forward to it. I think McCarthy is hilarious, she can simultaneously do silly and lovable at the same time. The SNL cast is good too, the only person I grew tired of was Wiig and was because she was constantly overused on sketches but she is talented. I'm trying to think of an all male cast that would actually work? Any current SNL members? I don't think so, the ladies are funnier.

"The power of pain compels you!" Haha classic Jones! I guess you have to like the actors initially too. I don't know why there are so many more dislikes than likes, sexism or nerd nostalgia? If they made a new Back to the Future I'm sure everyone would be all over that too like they were with the Star Wars prequels. I don't think the new Star Trek movies were better than the old ones, but I still liked them. The Ghostbuster characters weren't set in stone, they were just people who got together; and anyway didn't the original cast give them their blessing?

PS: It's sad that I instantly recognized which TNG episode that clip was from...oh I wasted my life...

I LOVE McCarthy. I think she's brilliant. I thought she was hilarious in Tammy. Especially the Topper Jack's robbery scene. I'm giggling thinking about it. I also adore Wiig in The Skeleton Twins. In particular You must login or register to view this content. scene with the lovably eccentric Bill Hader. It's so dorky. It makes me smile every time. 01:35. Says: "Ok, I got it". Thinks: FFS!

It's sad to say but I think there's a big element of sexism in there. I'm hoping they'll prove people wrong. They've certainly got the talent to make something special out of it but I'm afraid loads of folks have their minds already made up.

Yeah anything McCarthy does it great, she has that as the french say, I do not know what. Yeah Tammy didn't get great reviews but I thought it was funny too. I haven't seen her new movie Boss but I expect it's going to be as good considering she's collaborating with her hubby again. lol that clip is great. I grew to like Hader after Cloudy with Meatballs, his voice acting won me over.

I think you're right there's a certain amount of sexism that exists. As you said hopefully the movie is well made and when people watch it will change their opinions and not go into the movie with a bias.

I think it will make like $500 mill, not a lot but not too little. I think it will make a lot the first couple weeks and if I'm right about the movie not being so good, word would go out and it would gradually lose viewers. Much like BVS (I honestly loved it though).
