PS3 modding is very dead. It's too easy for little kids to mod nowadays theres a tutorial for everything and it literally takes 0 brain cells to do it.

Is introducing new people to modding that bad?

Modding was basically a job for us lol, but now its a activity for 6 year olds.

Don't get why everybody is pissed most people have access to modding now. Bunch of hipsters. If 6 years old can do it then it probably wasn't a very good idea to call it a "job" in the first place.

na i really doubt that the modding community will ever be back to how it used to due to the people doing it now and what type of people there are.

alright alright it takes like 3.5 brain cells to mod PS3.

Like Outsider said, there are still many people modding old gen technology, however a lot of them are not as vocal as a lot of you guys so less content is shared or discussed, for example, remember all the "Modding" teams? Comical but very vocal people who had a passion to see what they could do with the limited tech of the PS3, heck, the explosion of SPRX only came about in the last couple of years. We are working on projects to help diversify NGU specifically and introduce new content generating traffic which more news will surface on in the coming months hopefully.

Nonetheless, its still great to see up to 1000 new registrations on NGU per day.

Modding is certainly not dead. My friend just bought a jtag a few weeks ago and is just getting into it. It does however feel like mods are getting stale if you know what I mean.
I think we can blame that on the lack of new games. I don't even play bo3, and gta doesn't have anything really new to offer besides dirty stuff like freeze console.
So yea. Not dead, but is gonna get boring to some people.
