Paulington's black/blood shot eye came from his motorbike crash. You can get injuries unthinkable from accidents like that!

I was wearing glasses when I crashed, the glasses crushed my sinus bones and broke them apart causing the bruising and the eye hemotoma was due to the rapid deceleration, not nice.
