Yes and no, I think its important to learn about what is going on in the world, but you have to understand that most of the news that is 'newsworthy' ends up being something that revolves around violence or anger. People are more likely to pay attention to bad things than good things, and news channels want viewers so they'll do anything to make their news more interesting

I don't watch it or keep up with any of that as much.

Hell no. if you want legitimate news without sugar coating etc go on the internet.

Depends what news your talking about unless it's local I don't see why people bother with it all together it's only used as propaganda to brain wash the weak.
