The news just tells us what they want they leave out shit all the time. I wouldn't care if CNN got shut down.

I try to avoid the news unless I'm trying to catch the weather or there's a story about an adorable little panda. That shit makes me smile. I find the news incredibly depressing for the most part.

I don't think you have to, although most conversations are about recent things in the world. So it's really your own fault if you don't.

I watch and read the news. Of course I don't limit myself to one outlet. Viewing or reading from multiple outlets allows you to come to your own conclusions about something.
