Hi, I don't like you
McCoy is a coward who put himself ahead of his team during the Championship game. I'd take Bradford over McCoy any day.

If memory serves correctly, you can still add a poll. Check under the thread tools section.

You don't say. You call declining to go back into the game after your cleared to play because you don't want to hurt your draft stock leading?

Me being from Oklahoma of coarse I'm a OU fan but as for Sam Bradford having a good pro career...Im not to sure he will do well. His first injury was extensive and as soon as he was cleared to play again within a few plays he had the same injury happen again. Pro scouts see that baggage and its a real deterrent. Yes he does have a heismen but can he overcome his injury's? As for Colt McCoy (its almost taboo to even mention Tx if your from Ok) he is a good qb and he will return to the game 100%.

Between the two of them...I pick McCoy (no flaming please from the OU fansGasp). Another thing I want to add is that McCoy is by no means a coward! He is smart in his decision to hold back. He sees his future and doesn't want to jeopardize it. I would've done the same thing. Make millions or don't make millions...no brainier there.

He is a coward. He quit on his team to preserve his draft stock. His decision to not go back into the game after being cleared by team doctors was a safe business decision, not necessarily a smart one.

McCoy had a lot more to gain by going back into the game then he did sitting out. McCoy isn't even regarded as a top 3 quarterback in this years draft, 2 or 3rd round talent. After last seasons end when McCoy said he was coming back to Texas for his senior year, he and his parents took out an insurance claim that's worth millions of dollars. So even if he came back in that game and his arms and legs fell off, his bank account is still going to be filled. Now I'll use an example, JaMarcus Russell, he wasn't considered to even be first round talent until his strong showing in the National Championship. After that his draft stock shot through the roof and led to him being the number 1 draft pick and "stealing" money from Raider nation. Point being McCoy had a helluva lot of money on the line if he came back into that game and led Texas to win a win or had a good game. Now onto the leadership role. GMs and Owners want players that will give it their all to help their respective team win. McCoy proved he isn't willing to do that and is a "me" player and not a team player.

Lets not forget, sure Bradford has some wear and tear in his shoulder, however, McCoy overall has more wear and tear on his whole body. McCoy has lead the Longhorns in rushing over these past 2 years, those hits tend to add up after awhile.

So, it depends on the way you look at the situation. He played it safe and quit on his team and unless he has a good showing at the Senior Bowl and Combine won't be moving up on many draft boards. Where as going back into the game and playing well could have jumped into the first round to possibly top 5 territory. Even if he would have came in and got injured again he would have stayed about where he was on most draft boards, but he would have shown heart, something everyone wants on their football team.

This is an easy choice. Colt McCoy is way more valuable and Salt how can you say he is a coward for going out of the game you have no clue what he felt and it was a smart choice if he would've kept playing he could have hurt it worse and would probably have put his career to the point that he would be a career back up in the NFL as I think of Bradford his injury really dropped his stock and is known in the book as "injury prone" McCoy is no coward just for looking out for his health lets see you go out there get hurt and keep throwing you need to start thinking before you speak -.-

I need to start thinking before I speak? I will delegate that option to you.

Even with Bradford's injury he is still considered the better professional quarterback by NFL scouts.

To you next statement that he is could have been hurt by coming back in. I guess I need to clarify something here since you don't seem to understand. He was cleared by team doctors meaning if he came back into the game he would have been at no more of a risk to get hurt then he was before he got injured.

I shouldn't have even replied to you after I read "you go out there get hurt and keep throwing you need to start thinking before you speak" as it just shows the complete ignorance you have of the situation.

ok look doctors can say a million things but no one really knows what is best but you and only you.... he made a smart decision. yet he could have gone back in and maybe one the game or maybe he would have gone inn and got hurt worst.... idk about anyone else but if anyone was in his shews they would have done the same.. you cant just think about that one game he has his whole future ahead of him and thats what he was thinking about.... and i agree sam bradford is know as a accident prone person now.. and that is really going to hurt him in his future and no dobt colt will be drafted ahead of sam because of that reason...
