I've almost finished Suicide Forest by Jeremy Bates. I started reading it because it kept popping up on my recommendations list. I've always been very fascinated by anything related to Japan’s Sea of Trees, but I found this book to be pretty painful for the most part. Character development was rather poor and Ethan's a regular dumbass.

The last book I read was The Kite Runner. Absolutely great read by Khaled Hosseini.
