Anyone here seen any of Gotham? I'm on Season 1, Episode 4... Pretty good so far.
Picked up Season 2 the other day on Bluray and hopefully the show keeps getting better.
Here's a trailer if you haven't watched any of it.
Been watching since the beginning, it's a great show. I consider it more of a "Cop" type show as yes it's based on the whole Batman series but it's not really a superhero show.
I honestly got bored of it in the first season. Honestly, to me, it was so repetitive, like each episode or every few episodes were so similar where they'd catch a new bad guy which stalled the main investigation in finding who called Bruce Wayne's parents. Just my opinion, never got back to watching it, though I see the trailers are getting better and better
I wasn't interested after watching the first few episodes. I really wanted to like this show but I was expecting something different. I think a lot of what they've done works better across the pages of a comic book. TV's a different deal. I do like the cast. Loads of (wasted) talent.

Quite a few people I know loved it, they're all up to date.
Not really my cup of tea, maybe because it was so different to what I expected? Didn't manage to finish the 1st season. Might pick it back up tho, wasn't too bad.
Same with GoT to be honest *Inviting the hate* thought it would be more... action?... Expectations are a bitch 'ey.
That's the worst part. I don't mind a bit of backstory but Gotham is overkill. The past isn't interesting enough to cover however many seasons. DC based TV shows, with the exception of Constantine, are terrible. Smallville was all sorts of shit and The Flash soon lost its way. Arrow was hit and mostly miss. They should leave the transition from comic book to TV screen to Marvel. Daredevil and Luke Cage are brilliant and I'm super excited about Iron Fist and The Punisher. Roll on 2017.

Gotham not a bad show just an okay show. Just get the feeling somebody wanted to complete a checklist. The concept is decent just poor execution suffers from character overload. Feels rushed with half baked with couple plot points. End up caring more about sidelined main story arc over any other arc. Hard to remember any episodes.
Gotham would be stronger show if focused on couple characters. Switching characters per season showing you different side of each event. Linking each one together with massive story arcs. Writers feel forced to use certain characters. Show gives you taste with mini plots per episodes. Fails to make an impact on most episodes.
DC needs to respect the source matieral behind each character. Not rush to create a univserse. Don't tell the same story for certain characters. Production displays a high end budget. Talent is good however feels little wasted.
Was worth the time watching it just would not watch it again.

I gave Gotham another chance after visiting this thread and it's still balls.
Somebody at DC saw the Marvel TV shows tried to clone it but failed to watch Marvel TV shows.
