Posted a short story not to long ago while asking for some information in another thread and thought it would be interesting to hear some other peoples stories on and about when they got started and how far they have come, what are your greatest achievements?
I originally first looked at hex codes/offsets back in 1999 when me and my dad where big into tiger woods 99 online and the cases igl ladder tournaments and matches. The site pretty much was an elaborate ladder or bracket. Everyone created a name and you were given the lowest rank you then challenged whatever opponent and after you two played eachother you posted the result of the match wether you lost and or won and your rank changed. if you were rank 50 and you played the rank 30 and won you would then move to rank 40. The site worked great you generally just met people in the lobby and after the match posted the results win or loss and your rank automatically adjusted if the loser would not post the results it could be challenged and the moderators would correct it. well while [playing this me and my dad made it to the top 20 and once there we couldnt get past like the top 8 players and we figured out the formula ea sports used to make the ball move on the grid and everything so we new how many times to move the guide line left or right with the arrow key to adjust for the breaks in the greens and the wind and we still werent beating the top 8 guys because after knowing what to adjust on the grid you still had to click the power of the shot perfect which was a hole other deal adn thats when we started reading to figure out the code the game was written in and then onto how to edit the code while in the game playing alt tab out the game use winhex then played match in novice then simulation and found the differences in what offsets changed and wallaaa my first mod / hack ever figured out and now im back at it aklmost 20 years later enjoyy everyone
