anyways for mac users the program will maybe not open I found a fix try this and it will work:
1. In OS X go to the Apple Menu -> System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General ->
2. Unlock the padlock at the bottom of the window, which will require a computer admin password
3. Where it says "Allow applications downloaded from:" select "Anywhere"

Hmm never used Kodi before

It's a nice 1 stop shop I'll admit that I didn't like it at first, but now I love it because there's no ads or annoying popups, plus it searches every site for the best quality. Definitely recommend.

So it allows streaming pirated content or something?

Not directly, as it is primarily just media player.

However there could be (is) add ons that may (do) allow piracy.

On a side note is discussing piracy agains tos? Don't wanna re-read them to find out... But thought it was just warez, cracking or distributing pirated content etc?

Discussion isn't an offense. People discuss piracy all the time, even in shoutbox. The actual distribution is what would get you.
