Saw this on the Twitch Subreddit and was going to post it here.

I opted myself and my immediate close family as well as my SO out of it.

We were all removed with 4 hours of the request but it can take up to 24 hours for removal.

Pro tip, you can opt anyone out, not just yourself. No need to log in or anything. Here's the link to opt out: Opt Out - FamilyTreeNow.com

Unlike this site's competitors this uses things that you have no control over (IE public records) and makes it all public for anyone. Other sites require you to pay to view the info, this site is no such thing.

If I was you I'd edit my post into your post for people to see so they can opt out. This is way more than enough information for people to be extorted with as it shows physical addresses.

I don't think linking to other websites is legal on NGU, but it's not a virus, nor is it a link to a competitive website, so why the fuck would it be illegal? I found out on Facebook. If you go to You must login or register to view this content. you'll enter your first, and last name, and even your birthday year, and you'll find a list of everyone who's related to you, granted you find you, and not someone else. There are filters on there that'll help if you can't find the right you. I found my deceased sister, my entire flippin' family. I vaguely remember my parents talking about some woman whose name popped up at the very bottom of mine once in my lifetime. It's a public record. Kind of fucked up that we all have access to anyone.

Well considering rules aren't laws , nothing here would be illegal.

Don't like it? Message them. Ancestry.com would do the same, just you have to pay for it.

Dude the fuck. I got results instantly. It even had my deceased sister. Your first name, middle name, last name, state, and year of birth? I fucking live in Texas, and have a very common name. GTFO.
