Any links I provide in this thread are down to whether you want to click them or not, I genuinely don't think anything bad could come from it but you've been warned.

So I read an article from Anonymous News (You must login or register to view this content.) and it's basically about Google tracking your every location if you have Location Services enabled on your web browser or phone. But why has this only been massively discovered not that long ago? It seems unusual and kinda does feel illegal that they done this, but since they have created something like this then I highly doubt it's illegal now.

Obviously this has always been a thought to everyone whether there was something like this in the world and I guess there is. Could this be used as for the greater good or could people use it to hunt people down? Who knows..

Here's the link:

Let me know your thoughts on this and what you have to say. This should be interesting.
If nothing shows up for you on the link, it's probably because you haven't enabled Location Services on your Google account.

Gotta risk it for the biscuit
I've always assumed companies like Google or Apple have been doing this and for that reason I have location services turned off. I'd be foolish to say that because of that I've avoided any possibility of having my timeline tracked however I feel like I've definitely made someone work for it if they indeed wanted to find out. On the other hand, I doubt anyone really cares what I've been up to as I'm just one individual in a world of billions.

It really doesn't surprise me, but I don't really care that much, as long as nobody finds out how to find your location from this. So, as long as only Google, Apple, any other big company has my location, I don't care because they won't use it for any malicious purpose.

Do a barrel roll!
governments have back-doors into these kinds of organizations such as Google, like what snowden leaked about the PRISM scandal.
Seems like with technology comes mass surveillance. people nowadays depend upon technology so more data for Google...
Doesn't bother me personally, there are good and bad points about these kinda things, hope google gets good use out of my midget porn cookies... tho McCoy lol

It wouldn't surprise me tbh, I'm sure big companies Have investments of some kind Into these things.

Then again there isn't really much to me anyway, and I doubt outta the billions of people that use google they would target you specifically

The government has always been tracking everybody ever since 9/11. Part of an Act proposed by Bush after the attacks on 9/11 for American safety. It's very controversial since they're invading our privacy but it's for the best of us

How do you turn on location services and not understand the functionality of it. It's in the name. There's no reason to not believe that data is being stored somewhere otherwise the service itself wouldn't do the user any good. This would have never been illegal since location services on most devices require an OPT in anyways.

When I see threads like this I feel like I need to slap on a tin foil hat just reading them.
