Are you talking about the theatrical cut? Or the extended edition? There are many other Hollywood theatrical cut movies that are longer than the return of the king. For example, The Ten Commandments from 1956 was 3 hours 40 minutes and that's the only cut there is. And the longest Hollywood movie I believe is Nymphomaniac where the movie is so long that they split it into 2 Parts. If you take the uncut versions of both movies, it's actually 5 hours and like 30 minutes.

Longest one was The Dark Knight Rises in 2012 and is 2 hrs 45 minutes long. Yeah I understand how one can say it's long lol. The Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman is 3 hrs and a few minutes long
