I'm sure most of you all have heard about the Hurricane Harvey that has came through Friday afternoon. It has been one of the biggest hurricanes since 50 years ago, and most of you don't know the pain and suffering everyone is going through; including myself. The amount of flooding that hit all over Houston and other major cities have gone insane. The water has risen up by a ton, and it even flooded over freeways. 2.3 million people+ are in need of new housing and food. I, myself, had to evacuate as well, and moved into our cousins house at the moment over in Oklahoma. We don't know if our house is still there, or if any of our items are still there. We just know a lot of people are dying, starving, and thirsty.

Families are on their roofs for national guard to rescue them and other teams. People's cars are flooding away, and even homes. Please guys, this is my city, and I have a lot of respect for Houston. Anything from a dollar or two can save peoples lives. This hurricane is not a joke, and I hope you take this thread serious; especially being posted by me. We need you.... I don't need money, the city needs it more. Please donate here at RedCross for those who are needing it the most here:

They didn't order evacuation of Houston because it was too short notice and there would be too many people on the roads and cause massive traffic jams. So when Houston would be hit, theoretically there would still be massive traffic jams so all the people in their cars on the freeway would be trapped while the hurricane would rape them. And actually no they didn't know it would strengthen. They told evacuated areas that Harvey would make landfall as a category 1...Harvey went from tropical storm to category 4 in 48 hours which is amazing

48 hours is a ton of time to evacuate

Imagine being an adult thinking evacuating would save more lives. Evacuation would in fact make everything much worse. The government made right calls. Be better on internet please.

If you sent everyone to evacuate, the small number of exit route out of city would be packed for hours. And imagine when the disaster comes, the causalities would be much higher. So no I cannot imagine being an idiot cause I know the risks. P.s., police, firemen, paramedic and national guard were trained for this so they are suppose to risk their lives as usual. They signed up for this

packed for "hours" 48 is alot of them, and just because your trained for this doesn't mean no 1 died or "signed" up. im sure every firefighter is just sitting in their fire hall 360 days a year waiting with a hard dick for the next cat 4 hurricane to destroy where they live and all their belongings

Jesus fucking Christ. No. You'd be stuck in highway in one spot for more than 23 hours. And yes they signed up to save people when necessary. I never said they were excited or looking forward to having their lives taken away. I said they signed up to save and protect civilians when necessary. I'm just glad they didn't fucking evacuate cause it'd be much worse. "Why couldn't they just evacuate" people my ass.

do u have proof i'd be stuck in the same spot for 23 hours? because if so then thats the biggest infastructure bottleneck and im sure they would welcome the hurricane to save them tax money on destroying that "superhighway" so they can build a better 1 and give jobs to americans

Well I've experienced it. Is that a good proof enough for you?
