I defeated!
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I mean, not all students coming out college or university would get a job as they were expected to. It's my guess they were overqualified, or the technology are slowly starting to take it over. We must stop and fight back against people creating technology to take our jobs.

Why do you think today young job seekers are having a challenge to find a job and how it can be fixed?

I know it is possibly the most random question but it's related to my college discussion and it is a good question. Thought I'd get insights from fellow NGU users who's in college/uni.*

Australia here. Problem Number One. Studied 2 years at Tafe and then 4 years at Uni for a Masters In ICT Business Analysis. Can't even get a crappy help desk job. Got a job in retail to sit on until I find something IT Business related. Coming up to 30 and it has been 2 years since I graduated. Feel like I am going to get stuck in a shit job and wasted 6 years of my life. Should have done a trade at 16 years old which is a 100k+ job for nearly anything after 4 years apprenticeship.

Not surprised they feel entitled, boomers could just walk into an office and land a job easy, now the younger generation have to go to college and get a degree as every fucking half decent job requires you have a degree (which is a fucking retarded standard and makes going to university just like another compulsory step on the education ladder which it shouldn't be) after having to spend many ten's of thousands of dollars to pay for your degree you then start applying for jobs and have to jump through so many fucking hoops now just to even land an interview then to get dropped and not told why. I'm really not surprised young people after leaving university feel entitled to get a job, that's how university was sold to them and that's now what most jobs want you to have. Society needs to change and drop the you must have a degree and 5+ years experience doing X job to land X job. Also becuase young people are just treated as an expendable resource by big corps now, none of them have loyalty, I'd quite happily throw any company I worked for under the bus for personal gain, who gives a fuck if someone else has to pick up the pieces companies treat you like shit so treat them like shit.
