(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Why is there not too many choices in america for internet? Why do we have invisible data caps, i want verizon fios because they have a 300/300 option whereas comcast does not, att is too shitty.

That doesn't change the fact that there are a handful of actual ISPs and in most areas they really only have 1.

That's because no provider has 100% coverage even cell phone providers don't cover everything its just not practical...FIOS is only installed in heavily dense populated areas...no company is going to dig up the ground to install fiber optic in the desert...it wouldn't make sense.

You are completely missing the point. No where was I talking about FIOS. I was talking about the fact that we have shitty internet in most of the USA because there's no competition in MOST areas.

You are missing the point....no 100% coverage means less options and FIOS only installing in heavily dense populate areas means less options. All contributes why some areas only have 1 ISP provider.

I am just gonna have to cut you off there.

You can't have less options when most places don't have options. That's what I am saying. FIOS isn't a company of it's own, it's just 1 other service the ISP provides, if they didn't have that option they would still service the area with DSL as they do everywhere they are located.

Again and this is just in case you just didn't get it. I am talking about areas not having more than 1 COMPANY, not an ISP not providing more than 1 tier of service.

When the government grows a backbone and gets out of these monopolies pockets and makes them do the upgrades we gave them money to do years ago.

Well Detroit is pretty garbage overall. I'd consider myself lucky if I lived near there and the internet wasn't some string and tin cups.
