(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Woo new car time I'm getting a new ford fgx xr6 turbo with a "Barra 270t" motor
If u don't know what it is it's the last of the flagship Aussie sports high performance production cars coming out as ford Australia (Geelong suburb) has ceased production which is really upsetting.. for me at least
But anyway I'm excited I'm getting a relatively new car (1yo) 2016 model fgx falcon turbo 6speed manual costing me $36000 and had done 9000kms since leaving factory
Already got my visual modifications sorted, deep dish rims, xr8 bonnet buldge and aftermarket Angel lights Bluetooth controlled colours
Not too long after that will be a stage 3 tune after I upgrade the valve springs, turbo and intercooler should see me 350kw on unleaded petrol 98 octane
And 400+kw on e85 after I get new injectors and fuel system

Any other Aussies and/or other nations running ulp setups? I'm keen to see if we got any other car enthusiasts on this resourceful forum Smile

Hahaha I was halfway through typing my next paragraph before u replied ( I had a feeling you'd reply pretty quick) I wasn't really looking at 4wd/truck mods but more so the sedan small car range (trucks with decent power is heavy on the power pedal and pocket)
I know the states have ridiculous support for aftermarket power as my work uses a lot of sources from there and euro countries
But I bought my car to support my now nullified ford factory of my state (dumb I know) but I've always loved fords more so then the massively produced Gm Holden/pontiacs we get over here
Every dick and his dog has a commodore LS1 or LSx for that matter
Also could get the same if not more power with the same modifications done to the same motor I have but reliability is the one that posts a concern which is why I had a valve spring upgrade to avoid any issues that may arise

ls1s suck.
if u want to modify it not sure why you'd get a brand new 1 anyways. trucks are nice because you do whatever u want with them and with the click of a button or the flick of a switch go from 500hp to well over 1000 and still drive it everyday

Could get the same power if not.. more with the same mods mentioned above but the cost of some of the mods over here is a lot more dear which is a let down but with the right knowledge in this specific motor I can run a base tune and drop a turbo in minus the cooler and fuel upgrade but it won't be reliable in the long run which is why I spend extra just to safeguard my investment even though my warranty will cover it but being a mechanic you can sometimes be a perfectionist
