Brett Favre told ESPN's Ed Werder that it's "highly unlikely" he'll play again.

We all know this doesn't mean that much, especially hours after a brutal NFC Championship Game loss in which he took numerous big hits. Favre put together the best statistical season of his career in 2009 and the Vikings will remain largely intact next year. He'll almost certainly get the itch to play again at some point down the line.

Ugh, let the Brett Favre saga continue! Nothing like an early start to life filled with Favre!

Isn't Farve under another year on his contract?

If he can play, won't he have to?

I think it was a 1 year contract with an option to come back next year if he wanted.

Farve he is a great qb he just needs better protection lol... everytime i watch one of there games thats all i see is him getting hit.. and i think he is getting a little to old to play.. so overall i think after next year if he plays he should retire.... permanantly not for a couple of months... lol Smile

I personally have a ton of respect for theguy. With everything that he went through with his wife. And that l;ast brutal game. I think its time for him to hang it up. He has done a lot of great for the game.
