First you need to be on a cfw.

Lets start with you jailbreaking your ps3

And pick witch cfw you'd like. I suggest rogero 4.50 cfw 1.01 it's allot easier and less complicated then dex versions

1. You need to update to 3.55 OFW
2. You can either install a 3.55 CFW & toggle qa it makes it safer to install a CFW over a CFW or just download the CFW you want and update it from the XMB MENU or RECOVERY MODE either one.
