it was after a ps3 freeze an now the icon won't show anymore when i put the disk in my ps3

Does your disc drive make a constant whirring or a clicking sound? If it isn't constantly whirring then it means the drive is slightly damaged and isn't reading the disk. Also try another disc and see if that works.
