It might work, I have seen modules for it.

Here is the way I do it.

I use Google experience Launcher and use Xposed GEL Settings module.

I downloaded Apex Launcher, there's no change in the original UI when you install it excluding the ability to install icon packs and change the scrolling transition.

I personally use kk launcher you should check it out. there's a lot more option than on apex

I'm just looking for more simplicity is all. I have custom ROMS and UIs I can install. I just wanted to get icon packs to go along with the rest. Stock icons suck. :-P
