Post: Need Help With Galaxy S4 Flashing!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); For days now I've been googling how to flash a custom recovery to my GS4 after GooManager and Rom Manager failed to install one. And from what I've been reading from posts from 2013, I can't install one thanks to AT&T and their locked bootloaders. According the the interweb, AT&T Galaxy S4 I337 model with a MK2 baseband running 4.3 Jellybean cannot get custom recoveries and ROMs due to the locked bootloaders. I can't find anything on getting around them or unlocking them. "They" say my only option is SafeStrap which limits what ROMs I can use since I'll still have stock kernels.

Hence my reasoning for this post, anyone know a way of unlocking the bootloaders for a GS4 i337 mk2 on 4.3? I'd love to try the Gummy ROM for 4.3.

sorry bro but since u have to have stock kernels u can only use SafeStrap. AT&T and Verizon made a thing where u cannot flash custom roms or flash CWM or TWRP. :(

I read something about being able to flash the stock 4.2.2 kernels back onto the phone using odin via a computer or something of this nature since it came stock with 4.2.2

Does this sound like something possible to do? I've found the odin tool and stock 4.2.2 kernels and would be willing to do it as long as it would be a guarantee. Doesn't matter if it does a factory reset. I just want it to be fully unlocked

once you are on 4.3, u cannot go back. it will hard brick your phone by it not supporting the kernel and it will be basically dead weight. thats why many people do not like the 4.3 update.
