Now, lets begin.
You need to download a file manager that lets you see all of the files on your android device ( even the hidden ones, which is why you need to be rooted. )
I am going to use ES File manager, as its free, and easy to use.
Now, open up the file manager, and find a folder called 'data'
like so:
You must login or register to view this content.
Open it up... and if it's blank, that just means you havent granted the file manager root permissions, you need to do that in order for it to see these files.
Once you have it open, you should have some folders like this:
You must login or register to view this content.
click on Misc, then WiFi
you should be brought with these folders and files.... ( or something similar )

Open up wpa_supplicant.conf in a text editor.
you should see your list of connected access points, and from there, you have your password.
Example of what it'd look like:

enjoy!
This only works if you have connected to the wifi before, so its only for recovering, but my neighbor dropped their phone on the ground, and before i gave it back, i took their wifi password down using this.
