You are a lucky man... I have figured out your problem! After a few minutes of research, I have came upon a thread that explains how to root your phone. I will link you the thread, as well as write out the steps, to make it a little easier to understand.

Prerequisites :
Windows PC
USB charging cable
USB Debugging Mode ENABLED
How to get USB Debugging Mode Enabled :
You have to first enable developer mode. This takes just a few seconds.
Go to : Settings -> About phone -> Software information -> Build number
All you have to do is tap on Build number 8-10 times, and you will see a notification on the screen saying you are now in developer mode.
Now press the back key until you are back at the main menu of settings.
Find where it says "developer options".
Scroll through here until you see "USB debugging".
Check that box.
Press OK on the notification that pops up.
You now have your phone set to USB debugging mode, for every time you plug your phone into a computer.
Steps :
Download the root file. You must login or register to view this content.
Extract the contents to a new folder named "Root", on your desktop.
Plug your phone into the computer, while making sure USB Debugging mode is enabled.
Double click the ADA-ASEC-Root.bat file, to begin the installation to your phone.
The phone will reboot a few times, and go into CWM (Clockwork Mod), and install the root.
*You may get an error in the CWM recovery saying "Root access possible lost".
If that happens, select "yes fix root", by using the volume up and down keys, and the power button to select.
And you are done! Your phone is now rooted, and you should see the SuperSU app now on your phone!
I hope I helped! Let me know what happens! I wish I could test this out first, but I do not have this phone. The other threads have said it works, so I am not doubting it one bit.
*If you ever need to get back into the CWM recovery mode again, power off the device, and hold the volume up and power button at the same time until it comes up.*
