They thought that the installation disc would prevent hacking and modding. Guess they where wrong. LOL

On that note though, were other online games released but taken offline for fixing? Would love to read up on it if it's happened in the past.

See alot of your posts, very smart guy lol also what you say is true it would be pointless because cheating will never stop in games otherwise these guys would have no jobs as they would have nothing to fix? but cheating can also be fun i don't understand why everyone went over the top with money there simply was no need but common.rpf editing = great fun even in public lobbies if you have a creative mind and good sense of humor.. some people took it over the top, that's what ruins the game.

Awww thanks. But you're right, there's a line that most non-modding players draw in the sand about what is and is not acceptable modding. I think a part of that line is the frequency with which they encounter modding: when it was available by DNS the game was swarmed: when those same players suddenly have access to giving money, infinite ammo and God mode, it's amazing how the line shifts. "Pull the ladder up, I'm alright Jack" springs to mind.

yep very true, suppose it was fun for them while it lasted lol, it just really bugs me when people who don't mod complain about cheating when in reality they cheat themselves yet they don't realize because they're enjoying it so much so they don't think they are doing anything wrong or on the other hand it benefits them in some way. I bet half of the people who complained either used a DNS on their main account or new account at least once, also if they were given a JB Ps3 they would never complain they would be doing exactly what they are complaining about, oh well ayy that's life it's one big debate! Got to love it lol.
