happened to me when i had the NOS mods on my cars online, so i replaced the cars and it works perfectly fine now.

There is a glitch with insurance that completely destroys your car and you can't get it back. As for mechanic you missed his payment and he won't come until you pay him. You have to wait a while in free roam and the payment is 50.

If you missed the mechanics payment, stay in your apartment for like an hour or so without leaving, and you should be able to use the mechanic.

Hmm.. He is probably having buttsex at the Titi Bar, it happens, we all need a break right ? Give him a few hours to cool off, then he should go right back to it.

this happened to me with my car saying my car is destroyed and I can't buy it back....
