After doing a lot of different methods on my CFW and trying to understand why GTA 5 would freeze almost every 5 minutes when joining online games, I've remembered the solution to the problem I was actually having. It was when I tried loading Multiman I'd get nothing back from my console and today I remembered why that was happening.

My CFW problem goes back a long way when I replaced the blu ray drive inside of it. Well after thinking about it,
I took my PS3 apart again and the laser eye alignment was all the way in and against. So what I did was back off the alignment probably by 1/2 to an inch. So I left my PS3 apart after and tested GTA 5 again - I was in games for couple hours without a single freeze. I used to think all the mods I was running might've caused the problem but it was the alignment had moved over time.

I'm not implying this will work for any PS3 player. I've had a blu ray drive problem in the past and the same solution of adjusting the alignment slightly helped a bunch.

You could try this solution yourself and at the same time give your PS3 a nice cleaning. It consumes a lot of dust anyway. I'm not going to explain how to dissemble your PS3 (Plenty of youtube videos on that) and I am not responsible if you damage your PS3 while attempting to disassemble your PS3.

Yeah my ps3 freezes but only when I start using a mod tool, and if I dont use a mod tool, it usually kicks me to single player? Its annoying and I hate when I just meet people and I freeze up. Or if Im in a good lobby. I might try to this method because I will be spray painting my ps3 soon and cleaning everything inside. But thanks for the tip! Happy
