Post: PayPal question

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I made a paypal because one of my relatives was going to send me some money through it. Well they sent it, and I tried to spend the cash but it told me something about linking a bank account.

So do I NEED to link my bank account to my paypal in order to spend the received money? If so that's stupid.
(Only reply if you really know)

It told me I could raise the limit to $2000 if I added a credit card so I added one of those prepaid credit/debit cards and it told me I need to look at the transaction number or something, but with those cards you dont get those. So basically it's bank account or nothing.

I have American Express prepaid gift cards and I can check the transaction history along with payment details via their website. Google it and see if you can do the same with your card. In fact, I just added one to my PayPal account last night. They deducted $1, but it doesn't have any details shown yet. However, PayPal didn't even ask me to verify the card, so I'm not sure. I'll likely call them in a couple hours and ask what's up.
