whats all this #stuff about? do u just make them up or do u fin them sumwhere or sumit

and how do u get people to follow u... ive got like 9 followers an ive been updating my status thing for ages now haha i suppose this is a good opportunity to recruit some followers so add me - Jarhead9876

Putting # in front of a word in your tweet such as Xbox or nextgenupdate will show people your tweet if they search for #xbox or #nextgenupdate. It's just to help people find other people who are talking about the same things. It also helps it become a trending topic, so if a ton of people all of a sudden start tweeting #nextgenupdate it will show up in the trending topics and everyone who tweeted #nextgenupdate would have their post viewable to people who searched for that specific hashtag.
