You probably wouldn't want to start your first company with a random "partner" found over the internet. If you're seriously considering incorporating and selling a product, there's many aspects you have to consider, and a partner is the least of those. You can have random investors, but random partners is a big issue. My suggestion is to pick someone you know, you like (and who also likes you), someone you get along well with, someone you rarely (if ever) fight with, and someone who you can talk to openly and freely. You and he/she must also take criticism well, and be ready to accept each other's ideas, and realize that sometimes an idea of either your's or his/her's will "suck", and you have to be able to take the criticism from one another in stride.
