For Win xp Win Vista and W7 Methods to speed up your internet / network.

Right windows xp methods, some of this methods will only work on windows xp proffesional.
I'll tell if they only work on professional.

Method 1.

Works Only On Win Professional.

1. Go to Start- Run- and type: gpedit.msc


2. Expand the Administrative Templates branch


3. Expand the Network tab


4. Highlight QoS Packet Scheduler


5. Click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth and check the enabled box


6. Then Change the Bandwidth limit % to 0 %



Once you have done this click apply and restart your PC. After rebooting you should see a noticeable improvement in your net speed.

then go to "Control Panel" and click on "Windows Firewall"

go on "exception" settings and add your web browser on the exception to list to improve it's performance.


then I want you to click "Network Connections" w/c is still in Control Panel then right-click on Local Area Connection then click "properties".then highlight "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click properties.

then in General tab I want you ti click "Use the ff. DNS server addresses" then type on

Preferred DNS server: 156.154.70.1
Alternate DNS server: 156.154.71.1

click ok

This is "DNS Advantage"


then restart/reboot.Then feel the new internet speed...Faster browsing!

Method 2 Works on both xp version's.

First test your network @ You must login or register to view this content.
So that you know how your internet is without a speed method.

Method 3.
Windows XP
-------------
1. Go to Control Panel from the Start menu.
2. Click on Network Connections from the Control Panel choices.
3. Choose your connection from the Network Connections window.
4. Click Properties button.
5. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.
6. Click the radio button Use the following DNS server addresses and type in OpenDNS addresses in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server fields.
