Want to boost traffic to your site? Then no fear, cause Mike is here.
I have a few decent ideas, some original, some not. So lets get started.
1. Wiki- Wikipedia is a site full of knowledge and experienced members and staff. However, the staff are yet to lock all content and continue to let us, the public, edit their articles. You may want to edit the content to have your name in. For example - search 'Infinity Ward' and edit their content, 'Infinity ward are currently giving away free copies in the premium section of NextGenUpdate' for example. You don't have to use them exact words and make it so it's near the top. From experience I tend to get a bit too... bored when reading information on a subject and tend to find out the information on a topic in the first few lines. So in the first or second sentence put it in. Also to add, none of the hyperlink bullshit. That puts me off, I just want to highlight your URL right click and go to your site. If I click that hyperlink, could take me around the world. Always base your searches around your audience. If you're on a gaming forum, then search gaming or a big title of a game or something around that.
2. Youtube- This comes up in almost every 'boost traffic' tutorial, but it's good and basic and generates traffic. Everyone knows someone with a nice amount of subscriptions to their account. Try to get them to sign up and I know this sounds mean, but use them to your best abilities. Make an intro or a video of your site in action, explain a few things, talk shit etc. Then get everyone that is already on the site to upload the video and promote it more. If you don't know anyone and you're a 12 year old with a nulled vbulletin and a free host then I suggest subxcess.com. Within a week you can have over 1k subscribers to your youtube account, all active, all looking to do the same as you. And the ones I seem to sub are mostly the gaming community with MW2 10th prestige spinning shit as their avatars. It's quite easy however you're only allowed 30-50 subs an hour, I think.
3. Your online gaming- Now this method is only for the gaming communities as it's specifically picking out their interests and their audience. If you're not looking to run a gaming community, then move on to number 4. This is also one of the slowest methods but is quite tactical and fun. Considering you're reading on, you must be on a gaming forum and you must have gaming access with online, no doubt, so what you really want to do is recruit the real gamers, the hardcore gamers, the gamers with 2,000 trophies under their belt, the gamers that wont turn down a 1v1 on any game, so go online, and talk in the game lobby. Create a bit of banter, bit of a laugh, try to become a friendly person. Don't troll them. Then ask them if they want to join a friendly, non-bias community which offers services and competitions etc. Lie a bit if required however don't push them too far. Just enjoy yourself.
4. Find the latest glitches on the latest games- This is pretty self explanatory. You can find them on youtube, just steal their video by downloading realplayer and downloading it through there. Then quote your title as saying [ORIGINAL] which should grab the attention of your viewers. Stick an intro infront of the video with your name and then put in the information about the latest glitches etcetc. You could also just go online and find some carepackage glitches where you build it up and get on places. Not much information on this as there isn't much else to it.
5. N4G- I started using this a few days ago and find it very effective. Basically from my understanding is, you submit threads, then either get accepted or denied, then users of N4G surf them and go to your site to see other explicit content. If your posts get accepted then, you get around 4-6k views on it average, sometimes even peak to 19k views. Which is great to boost your site traffic. You must login or register to view this content.
