China is out to buy a large chunk because it has said that it wants to control the largest social network. Zuckerberg the Facebook founder went down to Beijing in December and is to return in September. Zuckerberg believes that Facebook could be a agent of change in China.
Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg is reportedly “wary about the compromises Facebook would have to make to do business there.” If she loses her argument with Zuckerberg and Facebook enters China, the company will eventually be subject to demands to censor its sites, those both inside and outside China. That’s apparently why the Chinese want to own a big stake in Facebook. They are, in short, looking for control in the long run. No other explanation is consistent with the Party’s other media and “educational” initiatives.
This just may be the return Myspace has been needing or the perfect opportunity for Google+ to take over. All I know is, there is no way I want China to be looking at my personal life. What do you think
I heard Facebook was blocked in China. And besides the creator of Facebook should stay the owner of Facebook. I mean nobody wants the government of any country peering through their personal lives.

Zuckerberg is probably mad cause he couldn't buy Skype LOL. But really, Google+ is hopefully what everyone will switch to, I like it.
Google+ is horrible, google announced that it would hand your information to the government if asked. That's bad. When our shit society turns communist, the government will know everything about you. :n:
It's too early too speculate what might come from this, I mean it says they just want stock. Obviously it would be very profitable. It's not like China can't already see whatever they want about whoever right now. People just don't hear about it..

If China gets it, I'll probably go inactive on FB, then eventually delete it.
As for them seeing my personal info, and shit, they already have all of that information, along with the rest of America, so they wouldn't really gain anything.
As for Myspace coming back..yeah fat chance.
Google+ it's going to be hard for the average user to catch on. Those who are into Gaming, Tech stuff, Android, Windows Phone, BB (Keep in mind those three like heavily into it, like modding, following their ever move, tech savy users), hackers, geeks, nerds, etc. will embrace Google+ with open arms, and immeditaly adapt to it. To the average american, rather white, black, Asian, Mexican, etc, redneck, skater, punk, goth, etc. will have a hard time with it, and be leary of it, and opt to stick with FB as that's what they have become accustom to.
Google will have to work really hard to pull those people away from FB, and myspace for that matter.
