Im wondering if anyone out there knows what the hell is wrong with my computer. Im on XP SP3 browsing the net just fine, type in google and then no internet. the wireless computer in the tray has disappeared, i go to network connections and there is NOTHING in there. No LAN, no any icon, just a blank screen. What the hells going wrong? Every other device can connect to my router, (D-LINK; DSL-G604T) i just do not know what to do, and im good with computers! please help!

are u wireless or are u wired? the drivers could maybe be bad and need to be updated or your internet cpi card is fried. my home computer internet chip got fried from a storm not to long ago. if u have a usb wireless card try that and see if it works. that will tell u if your card is fried.

wireless. i have no clue about the drivers or anything. i suppose it could be fried, it just literally stopped working in a matter of seconds, and i know its the computer because everything else picks up the wireless internet. i reinstalled xp and everything, but nothing seems to work. im starting to think now that it is a hardware problem, rather than software. thank you

Do you use a built in wireless adaptor or an external one?
I think it could be a drivers conflict.
