I already knew these, also if I remember correctly, the remote for your car runs on the same type of frequency as the frequency of a cellular phone which should allow someone to, with the right algorithm, to just run through and wait for it to unlock the car.

The following 2 users say thank you to Pichu for this useful post:

Aha, :P

You know, the site makes what they did seem simple when in the end it isn't as simple as you would think. There is still a bit of knowledge and study required in order to apply yourself to doing it and once you know how, then that's when it becomes easy. I think that if people focused on it, there would be a lot more of this going on but because people don't apply themselves, it doesn't happen as often.

Also, I know there is a device that allows you to basically sit in a parking lot, it then records frequencies and is able to decide if it is a car frequency and if it is, it registers it. (Since car remote frequencies are just a small short burst of information, it's easy to tell if it is or isn't.)

You could use this to try and open up other cars since the car companies only have so many of the same car with a different unlock.

(We've had our car unlocked by another persons remote who had the same car as us and had parked 2 spots over.)

I've heard the same thing. Some type of device that with the right frequency can unlock and turn on a Vehicle just from the Frequency of the Owner when he gets out and turns on the Alarm. That short burst is what the Attacker uses.

I don't quite understand your English. Just adding my 0.02cents to viewpoints on the forum...does that bother you?
