It depends what you want to do on your laptop really. for I've always been a PC man, but if I would need a laptop I'd go for something subtle, such as an Acer 5742 (Providing they're still around) simply for the ease of access. It does everything you'd expect a laptop to do, I just wouldn't recommend memory heavy stuff.

Assuming you mean the iBook with a 1.33GHz Processor, I'd try and avoid it for such a price tag.

This is what I got for 999$. I've loaded it and so far I've tested out games such as Portal 2, Minecraft (Max settings), Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Civilization 5. All on max settings w/ no lag whatsoever, fast install times, etc.

I'm going to be testing Bioshock Infinite and Skryim on max.

I've tested the above games w/ screencaputring software and I still get great FPS.

If you have the extra cash, I see this as a great laptop.

One thing I noticed though that I disliked was the cache.

L2 = 1k

I'm a god.
Eh, I wouldn't go for a iBook. Just get a Windows PC, I'm not trying to 'hate' on Apple. I just recommend you get a decent Windows PC.

Do a barrel roll!
Basically, all I have to say is that Apple Comps suck, and are overpriced for what they are. I'd go with what everyone else is saying and get a nice PC.

Then again if you're just a person who likes to browse the internet, and have the extra money to spend on an apple, jump on it.

I have a macbook pro 2012 edition (2.4Ghz processor, 4gb ram, intel4000hd graphics (something like that) with 512 mb of memory) which is good for just internet browsing, photo shop and other stuff just because its portable. In Australia that cost me about $1400.

I recently bought a PC for $600 and it has a 3.7Ghz processor, 4gb ram, 1.5 gb memory (some nvidia radeon 8000 and something (I forget sorry)) because none of my programs for PS3 where compatible with mac.

I think the iBooks are too outdated and will be too slow and not worth it. I am pretty sure they aren't supported still so it will be a bit behind with current computers. Both operating systems are good but I prefer pc because I have visual studio and prodg and other programs to use with modding
