I believe this is real as I know someone had gotten that email and it was legit. Can you tell us the email it was sent from?

Seems legit, but if you read into it. I think they're just letting you know that they're will be a court about whatever happened. It says if you made an account in between two certain dates this could affect you. Since you dont use the account i cant imagine it would affect you at all?

Did the email say "Dear Paypal user" along them lines, or did it say your name?

Moved yar thread to internet talk to see where the discussion might go .

There is a current settlement with PayPal however, I don't know if this e-mail can be defined as legitimate.
