One side of your screen can be dead

Touch on your screen are in correspondence to the digitizer. This is the part of the screen that collects input from the user through pressure sensitivity. What it means is that your digitizer is probably going bad and so when you rotate the device, it appears as if it is working but rather you are pressing in a new location.

If you want to replace the digitizer, I recommend finding an OEM digitizer + LCD screen combined package and replacing it. You can also go find someone where you live who does this professionally.

It can cost anywhere between 40-60 dollars to do this. It will however make it work again.
