(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay recently I purchased a dazzle on amazon last sunday and I am still waiting for it to arrive. Today I was in a PSN chat with a few buddies talking about this stuff only to find out that the version of the dazzle I have ordered may give me shittier quality than what I want. I understand I cannot get HDPVR but I AM recording on a tube so I was wondering if this would still work out?

Please note when I get it, I WILL be using an s-video cable.

1. Here is the quality, I was aiming to get(I have the tutorial)
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dywhkQ0NirY"]YouTube- Dazzle DVC 100 Best Quality (Almost Hauppage HD PvR)[/ame]

2. Now here is the EXACT dazzle I ordered...
[ame=https://www.amazon.com/Pinnacle-Systems-82301006351-Dazzle-Recorder/dp/B001CBXEDG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1267835214&sr=8-2]Amazon.com: Dazzle DVD Recorder: Software[/ame]

3. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and I have a PC with vista 64bit so can I still use this with those models?

I heard that was the worse of the options, but I was just wondering if I use an s-video cable and use the settings that he told me to use based off that quality video, will I be able to get very close quality.

So I was wondering when I get it, should I send it back and get the platinum or 100?

Thanks for help as this is freaking me out as I want the best quality possible.

I have that same dazzle as you bought and it is likely he rendered it in extremly high quality which probs took him ages so ur dazzle can record well but i recommend not rendering in that high quality as it will take for ever but go for a lower quality Smile

okay thanks, so I can use it with win7 x64? Also how would you say the quality is of your dazzle as I know rendering was part of that but still I think if I follow his settings(he uses a different recording tool and changes brightness, contrast etc) so it automatically looks better.

I just hope the quality is nice enough as I heard the dvd recorder dazzle sucks?

Well some on YT look fine but some dont, I will use an s-video so the quality should automatically jump and then Ill just try recording like he told me and it should be fine. (hopefully)

I have the dazzle up from yours , the platinum version, and well if you get decent recording quality then don't do any editing in Pinnacle apart from render in high quality, then render it again in Sony Vegas 9 using HD settings and you can easily get that quality, or close to it.

I also have windows 7 64bit, it takes a little time, you have to download some new drivers and stuff and maybe use AMCAP but you can get it to work by watching a few tutorials and that.

Hope i helped Smile

No what I was saying is from what Ive seen the 100/platinum version has significantly superior quality compared to the dvd recorder due to technology. So I am saying there is a difference.

The dvd one is known as the crappy dazzle quality and the platinum is the best.
