I know i have windows movie maker but my issue is when i record my gameplay using my dazzle DVC100 it stores it as a .VOB file when i want it to be in a different format such ass Mpeg or a different one but windows movie maker doesnt allow the .VOB files so i am stuck in a dilema on an easy way to use the .VOB files in windows movie maker or something similair.

If you (really) want to use something simple i.e windows move maker, try something like format factory(100% free) to convert that file into something that it accepts.

Try pinnacle studio12. Its so noobishly easey I can use it. Plus that is what they sell with the Dazzles.

I think you have to make the project into a movie in windows movie maker, just like rendering it normally. Search for that function in WMM and you should be able to render them to .avi or .wmv files.

Also, if you just want SOny Vegas for basics, such as rendering in HD, transitions , and colour correction, it is very easy to use. Smile

Hmm.

What program are you using to record with your Dazzle? Pinnacle?
If so, you can change your file type and compression rate. I will upload some screenshots for you.

As far as your editing software, your best bet is learning Vegas. That may be the hardest for video editing, but once you learn it you will be much better and achieve more than you can with other programs. There are MANY tutorials for Vegas on YouTube, including some of my tutorials in the stickied topic.

Yeah there is this other program that is free that I use to record called VirtualDub and then just use those settings and then save it as you would like and then import it into Vegas.
