Okay I am trying to fix the lag for my dazzle, and yeah I actually recorded something. Please note I am not using splitters, this is just going directly into my dazzle so the only way I see what I do is the preview screen also this is RAW NOT rendered.

I think to fix it I need to change the bit rate it records or whatever but Ive tried to go to the advanced source settings BUT it wont let me! I think I need to change stuff in there to stop lag, but HOW do I get in there? (pinnacle studio advanced settings, where brightness is etc, and region)

Also if I can edit some stuff in there the quality will be better?

Okay here are my questions

1. Do they seem laggy to you?

2. When I render it as a .mov file you see all these little lines as where as when you have the .vob the quality is fine.

So heres the two, both the same thing, ones a .mov ones a .vob, tell me why this is?

No their not laggy, well at least on my comp. You rendered it to become a little bigger right? That's why you have those lines. Btw try changing your your dazzle to different ports on your computer if you see lag.

Try rendering it to a WMV file instead of mov. and if you still see the lines I recommend you download virtualdubmod just google it. and use its deinterlacing method to get rid of that line. I also think you can get better quality. You just gotta search youtube for the best quality possible or play around with your settings.

well I cant "play around" with quality settings like Ive said because I DO NOT HAVE pinnacle studio, I have the instant dvd recorder and it does not come with the program that 98% of people with dazzles use so there for I have to do it differently, for now.

And the lag is ONLY when I replay the .vob its most likely my laptop as it doesn't have a great video card even though its pretty new.
